Hard work and consistency always pay off, even if it takes time. Challenges will always come up, but what matters is how you face them and keep moving forward.
The day the factory announced it was moving, I knew I was ready. But getting to that point had taken years of steady work, both in real estate and in myself. I’d been working at a machining job since 2012, clocking long shifts, often seven days a week. Then in 2016, Eileen Covington, someone I had known from my earlier days in real estate, asked if I’d be interested in working with her part-time. That moment gave me the final push I’d been waiting for.
I earned my real estate license in 2004. But without the right mentors or support, I struggled. Eventually, I stepped away and went into factory work for stability. Still, real estate was always at the back of my mind. I loved homes, the architecture, and working with people. So when Eileen reached out, I didn’t hesitate.
Over the next few years, I worked under her part time while still holding down my full-time job. She taught me how to actually run a real estate business: what to do every day, how to follow up, and how to stay consistent.
One of the biggest milestones was in 2017, just a year after returning to real estate, my wife and I were finally able to buy our dream home. For years, we drove by it and talked about what it would be like to live there, but it always felt out of reach. We’d spent a long time paying off debt after the market crash. It felt like we’d never catch up.
Once I got back into real estate, things started to change. My day job paid the bills, but the extra income gave us the push we needed. For the first time, we were able to get ahead. In 2017, we finally bought that house we had talked about for so long. It was a huge achievement and gave me the motivation to keep going.
In 2019, when the factory announced it was moving out of state, I was ready to take the leap into full-time real estate. Around that time, Eileen’s husband, KC, was experiencing health challenges. I gradually took on more responsibility so she could focus on him. When he passed, it was a tough time for all of us. They both had done so much for me. Eileen ultimately decided to step away from real estate completely. She is now focused on her art and is still a big part of my life. Taking over her business was a huge responsibility, but it forced me to learn and grow even more.
In 2022, we hit yet another milestone when my wife was able to leave her retail job after 37 years. Now, she manages our social media, keeps track of numbers, and is even thinking about getting her license to help with buyers. Helping her step away from a job that was wearing her down has been one of my proudest accomplishments.
When I set a goal, I work hard to reach it. Paying off debt, buying our home, helping my wife leave retail—I stay focused and do the work until I’m successful. The same mindset applies to my clients. Their goals become my goals, and I do everything in my power to reach them.
Real estate has completely changed our lives. I’ve built something that supports us and gives us more freedom in how we live. These days, we spend our free time traveling—our favorite spot is Destin, Florida. We also enjoy working on house projects together and are always looking for the next one to renovate and resell. I’ve learned that progress takes time, but consistency always pays off.
Communication is the most important element to a successful transaction, because without it, things get stressful and mistakes happen. I stay direct, clear, and involved from start to finish so clients always know what’s going on. There’s no guessing and no chasing me for answers. I keep things moving and make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
With a background in residential real estate investment, I bring more than sales experience. I notice things others might miss—water damage, structural issues, or outdated systems—and explain them in plain terms. That helps buyers avoid costly mistakes and helps sellers prepare their home so it stands out.
Every deal comes with challenges, but I stay focused on solutions and keep the process moving forward. My role is to protect your interests, simplify the transaction, and keep everything on track so you can focus on what matters most. When the transaction is over, I am committed to supporting you as a lifelong resource here for anything you need on your homeownership journey!
Sincerely,

Michael Rowell
